NACA is a scam. Yes, there are people who have purchased homes through NACA.

But if you look online, you will find that LESS THAN 5% of people are able to buy through NACA. Why is that? Because NACA gets grant funding (I.e. taxpayer dollars) for every person it counsels, not every person it puts in a home.

As a result, NACAs goal is to get you to come in for "counseling" and not to get you in a home in a timely manner. The more "counseling" you come in for, the more money they get ($300 for every 2 hour session). I put the word counseling in quotes because they do not actually counsel people in these sessions. No, they process documents.

More specifically, thesuitsi you sit in their office and watch them process documents.

That is not counseling, the thing they are being paid for. As I said, complete scam.

Reason of review: Not as described/ advertised.

I am beginning the program and was referred by a current customer. I work in the healthcare field, and I can tell you that it virtually impossible to please everyone.

No matter how you smile, how you took your time it does not always guarantee a pleasant experience for the customer. Because some people want to be able to manipulate the system, and experience some sort of success on his/her manipulation.

I TOTALLY DISAGREE with your comment about Naca getting paid to get people in the office for counseling. I purchased a home through Naca in July 2014 and I went into the office for counseling maybe 3 times in the 10 months I started the program and I'm counting the initial workshop.

Mostly everything is done by email and if they need to call you they will. You fax in all your paperwork and there is no need to go into the office.

In my experience that's completely false. You very rarely ever have to go to the office

Deliberately posting (or reading someone else's) fabricated "statistics" such as "LESS THAN 5% of people are able to buy through NACA".

"The more "counseling" you come in for, the more money they get" is a barefaced lie. NACA is paid when we close on a loan, period.

We challenge you to prove these ridiculous claims and not hide behind a mask of anonymity.

The above comments are comprised completely of lies, obviously made up by someone who either opposes NACA for misguided political purposes or lacked the dedication to finish the NACA process and feels the need to try and deflect responsibility elsewhere. NACA earns its keep through closing loans.

Tim Trumble why is it that every post you respond to is more defensive, than helpful?> Clearly there are way more people unhappy than happy. Maybe your focus should be reaching out to be a helpful tool to the people that come here to make complaints. Its seems as you are deflecting responsibility.

Those who actually post here seeking help receive it, but they are extremely rare. People post here to rant, criticize, and in some cases, make up complete lies just because things didn't go the way they wanted and they weren't willing to do what was necessary to be successful in the NACA program.

Those who genuinely want help seek out legitimate channels of communication with NACA, such as the numerous social media channels we maintain or our own NACA forum.

Plus, every response on this site includes my name and email address. I don't hide behind "anonymous" as virtually eveyone else posting on this site does. Yet NOBODY from this site has ever reached out to me for help, and the reason why is obvious. The very name of this website implies that it is looking for people with bad attitudes, and provides them with anonymity so they can in fact go so far as to make libelous remarks without having to take responsibility for them.

People who actually want help don't use this site, nor are the ones who do use it aware of its REAL purpose.

I receive messages every day by other media from those who ask for my help and I am both proud and grateful for the opportunity to be of help to them. But those people don't go around hiding their identity and slinging around words like "scam" because they know they are not telling the truth.

I'm not the one deflecting responsibility here.

As for being defensive, let's see a few dozen people write false accusations, exaggerations and even outright lies about you and see if you don't defend yourself.

Wow Tim I came here to see what people think about the program....... However I do agree with the last anonymous statement that you are pretty defensive instead of providing real help almost as if they're attacking you personally instead of NACA.

after reading reviews on the site I'm kind of on the fence if I should participate in the program or not......

however I like to keep open mind so I will go to the first workshop just to inquire about the program and get more information. I would suggest that you respond to these complaints with a more positive attitude seeing how people do come here for information
