I've been in the program since January 2017. I am still waiting to be considered NACA Qualified after submitting all required paperwork multiple times.

This program is supposed to help individuals become home owners but it seems everything is being done to prevent people from doing this. From being mistreated by housing counselors, to sending emails daily for updates, and calling everyday for updates, to no avail. This process should be smooth as possible not a nightmare. I started this program with several of my co-workers as we decided to go on this journey together and I am the only one left standing because they could no longer take the stress of being spoken to rudely by housing counselors, submitting paperwork over and over again, and not having an estimated time of when they would be in their new home.

We have lives that we are planning and not knowing if the process will take a month or even years deters the very people you're supposed to help. So I ask you are you truly here to help us?

Reason of review: Poor customer service.

Preferred solution: Make Homeownership a Number One Priority, Put the Customer First, Provide Estimated Time of Completion, Educate Customer on the Process, Action Plan Should Include all Needed Documents, Improve Document Submittal Process.

NACA Cons: I would not work with them again, I will not recommend their services, I will educate others on ways to not use naca.

Naca made me use their mandatory Naca inspector. Paid about $1000. Then they said Iโ€™ll need to add an other $100,000.00 to the loan and have to use their own Naca mandatory contractors for repairs.Lost time and money no property.So I think the process have to be better so low Income people donโ€™t loose money

NACA is a fraud what they do is practice bait and switch. I would never ever go near NACA, there are now plenty of other options work with a reputable RE Agent (preferably NOT NACA certified, cause they seem to be just as shady as NACA.)

NACA never apologizes for their failures, to do so would mean doing more than a cut and paste promo job.

NACA definitely doesn't have me brainwashed. Of course the program is not perfect, it certainly has its flaws.

Where else are you going to find a mortgage with no down payment, no closing costs, no PMI, don't check credit score, and the ability to buy your interest rate down to essentially 0% with a lender matching grant? NOWHERE. Is it slow?

Sure. Those who tough it out reap the immense benefits.

Sorry, you sound entitled. "wheres the apology statement" Just Sayin'What you dont want to hear: SUCK IT UP, put your head down, tough it out and get better mortgage terms than 99.99 of the nation.

Okay? Complaining will get you nowhere.-NACA member who closed 3 years ago and has personally watched(and assisted) several people close locally and across the nation.

Kris your comment was so unnecessary. NACA either has you brainwashed or you're working on your volunteer credit. You know this program is extremely flawed.

Kris,I agree with you that NACA is a good program, but disagree with you that NACA doesnโ€™t need to apologize for their short comings. People like you and I reaped the benefits of NACA but Iโ€™m sure we both went through *** to get it.My issue with NACA is they never take accountability for their actions and more importantly hasnโ€™t improved on their quality of work.

These same complaints have been going on for YEARS and shouldโ€™ve been fixed by now. Itโ€™s like theyโ€™re saying, โ€œwell I gave you this good interest rate with no PMI, put up or shut upโ€. They have a lot of areas of opportunity to approve.Lastly, donโ€™t be so hard on these people.

You donโ€™t have to bash every person complaining about NACA. They have a right to feel how they feel.
