Here in Charlotte, there are realtors that know everything about Naca and the people working in the company.

Step 1

Your agent will ask you for all the documentation, just to have an idea if Naca works for you and how long it is going to take you the process (pay stubs, bank statements, 3 bills (last 6 months) and rent (12months). If you have been financially organized, no late fees in the last 6 months (electricity, internet, water, etc), then you will get approved pretty soon, but if you were late with your rent 3 months ago(June "example") then you will have to wait until June 2017 to get approved, just like i said, it is a 12 months record. (2 hours to check all the info)

Step 2

Your agent will tell you to go to the work shop - (4 hours)

Step 3

You will receive emails from Naca letting you know you are in the system, they will provide you a naca id and your appointment with a counselor. It's a 100% sure they will assign you an appointment 6 months after the you went to workshop...Dont worry!!!!! you are working with an agent that know the people at NACA and he will be working with your counselor. (1-2 weeks)

Step 3

Your agent will get all the documentation together and he will ask your naca counselor to fax the rent verification and job verification. Now, this your time to get involved in this process. As soon as they tell you that they have faxed the documentation, go to your lease office and ask the people working there to fill the form out and fax it back to naca (stay there until they fax it and get a copy), do the same for the job verification (go to hr and ask for a copy) (1-2 weeks)

Step 4

Congratulation, you have been approved :)

Step 5

you will receive emails from Naca letting you know your budget

Step 6

Starting looking for a house and make an offer

Step 7

wait for appraisal, inspection etc

step 8

you are about to close, do not get any loan at all (credit cards, auto loan, furniture loan, etc)

Step 9

Congratulation, finally you know the day your closing.

Guys, Naca it's a great program but if you are always late with your bills, it will take you forever to get approved (months, years) keep in mind all the benefits you have with Naca ( no closing cost, no mortgage insurance, buy down interest rate)

I hope this information helps, I only took me 2 months to get approved and i'm closing next week a house.

Thanks Naca

If you add about 500 steps and end up with noting, this statement would be more correct.
