They hire and fire "counselors" everyday. They tell you to fax all these documents over and they don't look at it.

They drag their feet when it comes to helping you find a home. They never return or answer your phone calls. All NACA wants you to do is become a member give you false hope and take your money. I dealt with them for two years and had 3 "counselor" assigned to me!!!

To all who reads this don't bother with them just do what you have to do and get your home the old fashion way that's what I did. Thanks Wells Fargo!!!

Product or Service Mentioned: Naca Loan.

I am having this same problem. I have emailed, called everything but went to the office. That's my next step.

The old fashion way means closing cost, attorney fees, and PMI insurance for the life of the loan. NACA works if you persist.

Works how?

Okay, I definitely have to respond to this. It took you two years?

Okay, that was definitely something having to do with your credit or something else. Three MC's in 2 years? That's not bad! That's normal turnover for any company.

Wells Fargo? Hmm...if you lose your job or go through a divorce they will drive by your house 5-6 times a day and knock on your door harassing you asking you why you're not paying your mortgage. They don't care about you. At least I know that NACA will help if that ever happens to me because I have documents that say they will.

That PMI you just paid? That's not going to cover you for anything. I purchased a home in the late 90's and the bank sold it to WF.

I bought a home through NACA as a single mom who had a steady job and lived in one apartment for 5 years and then a duplex for 4 years-stability and longevity. I still had to go out of my way to prove myself and I felt like a convict the way I was treated, but after putting my pride aside, in the end I have a home paying much lower monthly payments than my neighbors did for their house at the same price.

Having gone to Wells Fargo all but guarantees that you ended up with an FHA loan, as that's basically all they do in mortgages.

Just for the sake of comparison on an average $200,000 home:

FHA rate: 3.75%

NACA Rate: 3.50%

Total FHA interest over 30 years: $133,443.23

Total NACA interest over 30 years: $123,312.18 NACA savings: $10,131.05 Then there's that PMI that FHA charges each month for the life of the loan. Even at their new "reduced" rate, that's another $51,000 over the life of the loan.

Total additional cost going FHA over NACA: $61,131.05. Wells Fargo didn't do you any favors.

I'm sorry you felt so frustrated, but your decision clearly came with a hefty price tag. Tim Trumble Online Operations, NACA ttrumble@naca.com

Tim, divide that $61,000 by 100 hours of work, you'd have saved yourself $610/hour. Not too bad.

Its nice that you can do math. But do you return fone calls or actually try to help people get approved.

Hey, the product is good but how about the delivery of it. Its nice to see that commented on the easy stuff but what about the real issues like the poster posted above.
