I was talked into selling my home to naca buyers and it was the worst decision I could have made. First my agent knew nothing about the program so his office along with myself did research and saw some bad reviews.

My house had only been on the market a short time so I initially declined their bid which was just shy of full asking price. Then a good friend of mine who was a mortgage broker told me he had dealt with a naca client in the past and did not have any issues that he could remember. Yeah ok.....to make a long nightmare short. We went into attorney review August 1sr with a closing date of September 7th.

They did that to lore us in I realize now. We did not close until October!!!! The closing was pushed back two times after that. I regret dealing with this program but hung in there because I met the buyers during a naca home inspection.

They told me of their experience and I really felt for them as well .

I understand folks want a low interest rate but I would never put myself through such a horribly run program . Naca sucks!!!!!!!!!

Reason of review: Order processing issue.

Location: New York, New York

We are sorry you had a bad experience with NACA, but the fact is that this sort of situation is far more the exception than the rule. NACA has a 28-day contract-to-closing timeline, and the vast majority of NACA loans close on time within that timeline.

Certain factors can cause delays that are simply unavoidable. In fact, one in five home sales fail to close on time. The need to reschedule a closing is extremely commonplace, as shown by these and literally dozens more articles: https://jetttitle.com/top-5-reasons-closings-get-delayed/ https://www.trulia.com/voices/Home_Buying/House_not_closing_on_time_because_of_slow_bank-544068 https://budgeting.thenest.com/happens-mortgage-loan-deal-doesnt-close-30864.html https://go.homebay.com/learning-center/lender-delayed-closing-now-what https://budgeting.thenest.com/can-home-mortgage-closing-date-extended-31709.html We appreciate that you presevered on behalf of the buyers and we sincerely thank you for that dedication.

Please realize though that such delays are caused by the bank and not NACA, and while they happen in just a fraction of home sales, closing delays are far more common than most people would imagine. Tim Trumble Online Operations, NACA
