While I was waiting for my deal with a NACA buyer to fall apart, I read some more about NACA. If you get through the hoops as a buyer, and buy your house, they will put a lean on the house you bought to make sure you follow the rules.

So don't think you will be able to sell until the loan is paid off. Next for sellers, they tell you if the NACA buyers get through the program you will close. They don't tell you that the closing will be changed many times or that if they soft pull the credit of the buyer, which happened in our case, and the buyer has been late on some payments, the buyer will automatically be disqualified from the program for a year. They DON'T CARE ABOUT THE SELLERS!

They don't care that another deal you have made to buy another home falls through. They could have pulled that credit before the papers were signed. Then we would have all been spared. Don't let Tim from NACA tell you that happens.

My husband and I have bought and sold 10 houses. This never happened before. And for the end. My daughter was going through the program, her friend was too.

Her friend quit the program went to a realtor and bought a house. She qualified. Before you allow yourself to get in this hamster wheel, check with a realtor.

You may be able to buy a house yourself. My daughter did.

Reason of review: Not as described/ advertised.

Monetary Loss: $200000.

Preferred solution: I want NACA to stop the insanity. If they can't get themselves organized, then they should just shut down the program until they have a market worthy product. Their rhetoric doesn't stand up to the smell test.

NACA Cons: It is my way or the highway mentality, Inefficient processes, Lack of solutions to get their jobs done on time, Did not return calls or emails, Staffs attitude.

You guys could go to the following website/organization and complain about NACA.

If all us do that somebody will go after NACA.

Check it out and submit your complaint with the documents there.

Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (cfpb)

Wrong regulating agency. NACA gets away with this because they fly under the radar because consumers do not know where to go to file a proper complaint.

Due to the fact they're organized as a 503(c)4 by the IRS, the only regulating agency to investigate these claims is the IRS. Please fill out f13909 (referral of tax-exempt org) check "other" under violation and write in "NACA acts contradictory to public policy". Then describe your complaint in details. The form can then be faxed, mailed, or emailed to the IRS (instructions state where to send it).

We need the IRS to be aware of what is going on in this organization. They do not follow their mission statement.

This program takes advantage of desperate people who are low income and don't have any home buying experience. If NACA made it very clear from the start a lien will be placed on their home for the duration of the loan they would lose people left and right.

They are very slick with this. If someone worked hard and saved money and paid their bills on time they have the right to own property and sell that property anytime they choose too. I would suggest buyers to save as much as they can and work on improving your credit. What good is minimal closing costs if you have a freaking lien on your property.

It's better to just use FHA. NACA sucks!
