The counselor I had/have is also the manager of the Detroit office. It has been 3 years and I keep giving all that is asked for not once has he passed my information on to underwriting.

After the first year the counselor would not answer my calls or emails for over 6 months. I complained to every person in the system without any success. I then complained to the consumer financial Bureau who actually got them to answer my call again, but as soon as its time for underwriting again I get no where. The last 4 appts, 2 my counselor cancelled via receptionist, the next 2 scheduled appointments he left me sitting in the waiting room for over an hour without even telling why.

Now no one else has been waiting and it is not like there was so much going on there was nothing going on infact the receptionist was laughing with another counselor for 1/2 hour. When I got upset both times the receptionist said "I am sorry he is on a conference call".

I almost lost my house 2 years into this process and had to get a loan from a loan shark or would have lost it. I believe its a racial issue but you can't do anything about it.

Reason of review: Poor customer service.

Preferred solution: Let the company propose a solution.

NACA Pros: Reception person was always polite and kind.

NACA Cons: Even the district manager did not follow through, Lack of communication with staff and members, Lack of effort, Office management.

Location: 3031 W Grand Blvd #621, Detroit, MI 48202, USA

3 years?! No no no no no no no.

I would've moved on after 1 year. It doesn't take 3 years to get approve for a home loan.

In those 3 years you could've just saved the 20% to eliminate the PMI and worked on your credit. Why is it taking 3 years? That is insane!!!!
